here are two new ones ...
"La Pistola y El Corazon"
paying homage to two of my favorite artists, Michael Demeng and George Yepes. this is a miniature matchbox nicho shrine with nod toward colonial mexican art and the whimsical. comprised of the following:
acrylic paint, crackle paint, matchbox, screws, bolts, rusting agent, religious ephemera, charms, wood, brass findings, clock coil and wheel
the metal hardware have been treated with an antiquing agent which gives them a natural rust. adding to that, i used several different colors of acrylic paint to further the illusion of age and weathering.
the doors open fully but only close to a 90 degree angle.
measures 5 inches tall, 3 inches wide, just under an inch deep.
